Great trip around the harbor and a great way to see the city and hear about it's history. I took my teenage daughter, and she enjoyed it very much.

We took the full harbor cruise, 2-1/4 hours. The boat was nice, spacious, clean and smooth. We first tried to go to the top deck but the only seats available were railing seats. Bench seating with the railing sticking in towards the interior of the boat. Not very comfortable as the railing is head height. There are limited chairs and tables on the top deck. We decided to sit inside where there were plenty of chairs and tables. One thing of note, The full harbor cruise is part of the North or South harbor tours so you return to dock in between each one to let passengers off and on. Narration is where we feel this tour fell short. There are some interesting sights along the tour but the description states a history of San Diego as one of the highlights of the narration. There was no history except for what was in view from the boat, hence islands and military craft. . Drinks are expectedly overpriced with a glass of cheap wine going for the price of the whole bottle in a store. Snacks are limited with roller hot dogs that look like they had been there all day and bags of chips and pretzels type offerings. It was a nice cruise but not one we would repeat. Get a starboard side seat for the best views as that is the side most of the narration is focused on. People started lining up about 30 minutes before sailing.

I've been on many cruises before. However, this one was just not all that. Not enough seating, overpriced snacks, over booked with people and no entertainment, little music. My husband and I booked the 2 hr tour but chose to get off the boat as it returned after one hour. Corny. Also, boat is very slow and old. There was a sewer smell on the boat also. I wouldn't recommend this boat tour company. Little outdated and not worth the time.
