This 3-hour tour will show you why this spectacular city beckons Californians and travelers from far abroad alike to sink their toes into sand and their souls into the fabric of this vibrant place. Throughout this tour you'll get to stop and see lots of beautiful areas throughout the city. A few key spots include Coronado, The Hotel Del Coronado, El Prado, the historic Gaslamp Quarter, Embarcadero, and the incredible Balboa Park.

Coronado Bridge

Built in 1969, the Coronado Bridge spans more than 11,000 feet and rises 200ft at maximum clearance. At it's base on the San Diego side sits the Chicano Park, and the bridge is easily visible from both the coast and the air. It's now as synonumous with San Diego as the Golden Gate bridge is with San Francisco.

Embarcadero

The Embarcadero lays along the eastern side of San Diego Bay, Embarcadero meaning "landing place". The Embarcadero is home to the USS Midway museum, Seaport Village, many popular modern restaurants, and the famous Unconditional Surrender 'victory kiss' statue.

Gaslamp Quarter

The Gaslamp Quarter, known as the Historic Heart of San Diego, is a 16 block downtown neighborhood full of nightlife and world-renowned restaurants. Full of Victorian architecture and small museums, as well as Horton Plaza Park and Petco Park, it's a must-see.

Balboa Park

Balboa Park is a 1,200 acre park full of museums, the beautiful Spanish Art Village, restaurants and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. It was placed in reserve in 1835 and remains one of Americas oldest public parks, right in the heart of downtown San Diego.

El Prado

The El Prado in Balboa Park is a historic district and part of the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The complex contains the Cabrillo Bridge, the Museum of Man, Alcazar Garden, the Japanese Friendship Garden, the San Diego Museum of Art and much more.

If I could give a 6 out of 5 stars, I would. Kenneth and his team were INCREDIBLE every step of the way. Our group of 60 (SIXTY!!!) reached out to ASSDT about a month out from our event date in a frenzy to schedule an excursion and a dinner. Kenneth was ALWAYS responsive via text, call, and email; he kept me up to date every single step of the way and was SUPER accommodating to all last minute changes. Invoice and payment was easy peasy. The date of the event, Kenneth contacted me to run me through the plan. My team and I ran a bit late to our scavenger hunt but Kenneth and his team were super adaptable. On to the main event: Scavenger hunt followed by beach bbq. He and his team were attentive, involved, talkative, and took every piece of feedback in stride. They supported the full setup and tear down of our beach bbq. We had SO MANY GAMES! Smores, a catering company, etc - all included in the one cost of the beach bbq (which I really appreciated, multiple receipts can be a pain). Verbatim, one of my colleagues said "This team is so attentive, I moved one corner of the picnic blanket and one of the guides came running to help me"! We were a very young, rambunctious team and the ASSDT took us and ran with us. 5/5, 10/10. If you are a corporate group looking to get the full San Diego experience, definitely recommend ASSDT!

While eating lunch by the water our teenage son said. “I want to do THAT!” It was easy to book and easy walk to find the meeting point. Within a hour of booking, Preston Dill took us through Petco Park, the Gas Lamp District, the old jail, and waterfront area to the Midway. It was a fun way to see San Diego. A great mix of history and humor.

We had a blast on the Segway tour with Mari as our guide. She did a great job of sharing history and points of interest on San Diego while still making it fun more our teenage kids.Highly recommend!
