Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!

Didn’t see whales but ran along a pod of ~200 dolphins. Raced us for quite a while LOVED the experience. Saw Rizzo dolphins. Much more shy but apparently an unusual sighting. The weather was perfect, the crew was great. Highlight of my trip and we did a lot! For got to meantime sea lions 🦭🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬

The tours from SD Whale Watching are always fun! Definitely take the motion sickness meds if you need them! We started out by seeing some sea lions and then we saw 100s of common dolphins and a whale that continued to surface every 10 minutes or so. The crew is very knowledgable and fun!
