San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

We took a 3 hour cruise and really enjoyed the experience. The crew was outstanding and provided good and constant information about the waters, birds and fish being observed. Although we were not out during a peak whale time we did see a very large pod of dolphins. The crew circled ample times to be sure everyone had a full experience with these delightful creatures. The boat feels safe, and is very comfortable with plenty of covered seats. When the ride was over, they generously offered 1/2 tickets for another ride due to lack of whales. We did not need to ask.

Nice boat and everyone was very nice. Saw dolphins and a shy whale, didn't see much of him. Got a great deal with Groupon.

We found a Groupon and decided to try whale watching. The guide was great and although we didn't see any whales the dolphins were amazing! The check-in at the store was a bit unorganized. Also, we all rented the binoculars and only 1 pair would focus.
