We went on the trip to try and see some whales and dolphins and unfortunately we were one the "3-4% of groups that don't get to see a whale". The water was choppy, there was only one bathroom because one was not working, and about halfway through the trip they had to shut down the galley because one of the fire extinguishers spilled all over.
On the plus side, we did get free vouchers to come back again, but that isn't really helpful when you're out there on your vacation and don't have another 3-4 hours to go out on the boat again. I would suggest that you research peak whale seasons and go then since we were pretty bummed that all we saw were about 5-6 flying fish.

We are sorry for your less than pleasant trip. As far as our sightings go, unfortunately we are in a business that deals with wild animals, and though we have great success on the vast majority of trips, there are always those few where we are unlucky and the animals just don't want to be seen. For every trip like that, we usually have one that closely follows where we see thousands of dolphins, a breaching humpback whale or a huge pod of pilot whales! Every trip is different, so I hope you are able to make it back to San Diego and put those free passes to good use, they never expire! We appreciate your business, and look forward to proving why we think we are the best whale watching operation in San Diego!
Kind regards,
Chris
