San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

i booked this trip via groupon so got a really good deal for a 3hr cruise out into the ocean , staff were top notch and although we didnt see any whales ( only saw dolphins , seals & birds ) everyone was given a 50% off voucher ( good for 1yr ) for another trip out

Had a great trip on the Eclipse. Never got to see any whales well it isnt exactly the peak season as warned but had a very pleasurable boat trip with a fun crew anyways . And offered a half price pass if we ever wanted to go again . Saw lots of Dolphins tho . Thanks and would recommend this trip

We decided to go whale watching, we found a Groupon special for a great deal and went with it. The boat was a nice size. As we were leaving the dock we saw a jellyfish, several sea lions, and a lot of different birds. On the way out of the harbor it was a little rough (I did take motion sickness tabs), but that is to be expected. Before long we had dolphins around the boat. It was real neat to see. We searched for whales, but didn't find any, do we headed back. We were about 20 minutes from docking and someone spotted a whale. A hump back whale...just amazing. Prior to seeing the whale the guide told us we would all get a free pass since we didn't see a whale. Even though we saw a while st the last minute, they still gave everyone a free pass! They were very friendly and informative! It was a great tour and we really enjoyed it!
