San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

What a great trip - We were so lucky to see a plethora of whales and the rare sighting of a mum and new whale calf along side making their migration south to Mexico. Even the seasoned guides were excited to see such a rare sight - truly wonderful

We went on the 1:30 boat and had such a great time. We saw 2 whales and several Dolphins. We saw a sea lion catch and eat a leopard shark. It was awesome! The staff was so great especially with the kids. They let me and my kids go in where the captain was and look through the binoculars and sit up there for a long time. They answered our many questions. It was just an all around great time with my family.

My husband and I took our two boys (5 &7) on this cruise for our oldest sons birthday. He's a self proclaimed whale expert and lover of all things marine. I was worried about them being bored. But, even with the wait for marine life, they still enjoyed the tour guides informative talks and the scenery. The excitement that ran through the entire boat when a whale was spotted was so contagious! We saw a glimpse of a blue whale, some shy humpbacks, and a ton of common dolphins. It was worth the wait! They have great deals on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (when eligible) and we loved that they give out 50% coupons if you don't see a whale. They really know what they're doing and offered us a wonderful experience.
