What To Expect
1
Union Square
This one-block plaza and surrounding area is one of the largest collections of department stores, upscale boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, and beauty salons in the United States, making Union Square a major tourist destination and a vital, cosmopolitan gathering place in downtown San Francisco.
2
Palace of Fine Arts Theatre
The Palace of Fine Arts, built in the Beaux-Arts architectural style for the 1915 World's Fair, has been seen in films such as Vertigo (1958), Time After Time (1979), The Room (2003), and Twisted (2004). It also served as the backdrop for set pieces in So I Married An Axe Murderer (1993) and The Rock (1996).
3
Golden Gate Bridge
We will visit Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. We believe this location offers the most beautiful and comprehensive view of this majestic bridge. You'll also be able to walk in the footsteps of actors such as Jimmy Stewart, Kim Novak, Mel Brooks, Humphrey Bogart, Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner.
4
Lombard Street
Lombard Street is known for the one-way block on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, where eight sharp turns are said to make it the most crooked street in the world. We'll tell you on the tour why it's not even the crookedest street in San Francisco!
5
North Beach
North Beach, a buzzy neighborhood steeped in Italian heritage, draws locals and tourists to its checked-tablecloth trattorias, coffee shops and retro-flavored bars. The spirit of the Beat Generation can be felt at the storied City Lights bookstore and the memorabilia-filled Vesuvio Cafe bar. In Telegraph Hill the Filbert Steps offer a scenic hike to the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views
6
Nob Hill
Once home to the mansions of the Big Four railroad barons, Nob Hill retains a sense of wealth and privilege. Some of the city’s swankiest hotels are here, as are the ornate, Gothic-style Grace Cathedral and charming Huntington Park. Steep streets are dotted with restaurants and nightspots like the Top of the Mark lounge, with its 360-degree views. The Cable Car Museum exhibits antique cars alongside live machinery
7
Transamerica Pyramid
The Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street between Clay and Washington Streets in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States, is a 48-story futurist building and the second-tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline.

This was a great tour! It takes you all over the city to places most tours do not go to. Our guide Dan was very entertaining. We took four different tours during our week in San Francisco and this was the best. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

I have been to SF before so I wanted to see the city from a new light. The Movie Tour was perfect. I was able to see the entire city, the main attractions, but at the same time I learned little facts that you might not get in a regular tour. The tour guide was both funny and knowledgeable. The highlight of the Tour was seeing the park and the house from Full House. This tour is perfect for both someone who has never been to SF or is a returning visit!

You don't have to be a movie lover to love this tour. My wife has seen much less movies than I, and she thought this was the best tour of the four that we took in San Francisco (although the walking Architecture Tour was also very unique). The enriching aspect of this tour is how you learn about San Francisco from different, uncommon viewpoints. Movie knowledge is definitely not a pre-requisite. The mini bus allowed for less people and was able to maneuver where bigger buses fear to tread. Dan, our jovial guide, had worked a long time for other tour companies and clearly was very knowledgeable and full of trivia. The free water and tootsie rolls (maybe related to the movies Towering Inferno and Tootsie) were nice little extras. Furthermore, he was more than eager to take your picture. The large variety of movie clips on a screen overhead were tightly edited and not long, and they were not the least bit distracting to the views out of the windows. (By the way, the clips were all "appropriate".) In addition, we had a fair number of noteworthy stops. While the tour does not pick you up at your hotel, it does have a number of convenient pickup points. This helps to keep the costs down, and given the smaller number of people on the bus and fullness of the experience, it was more than a fair price.
