What To Expect
1
Union Square
This one-block plaza and surrounding area is one of the largest collections of department stores, upscale boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, and beauty salons in the United States, making Union Square a major tourist destination and a vital, cosmopolitan gathering place in downtown San Francisco.
2
Palace of Fine Arts Theatre
The Palace of Fine Arts, built in the Beaux-Arts architectural style for the 1915 World's Fair, has been seen in films such as Vertigo (1958), Time After Time (1979), The Room (2003), and Twisted (2004). It also served as the backdrop for set pieces in So I Married An Axe Murderer (1993) and The Rock (1996).
3
Golden Gate Bridge
We will visit Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. We believe this location offers the most beautiful and comprehensive view of this majestic bridge. You'll also be able to walk in the footsteps of actors such as Jimmy Stewart, Kim Novak, Mel Brooks, Humphrey Bogart, Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner.
4
Lombard Street
Lombard Street is known for the one-way block on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, where eight sharp turns are said to make it the most crooked street in the world. We'll tell you on the tour why it's not even the crookedest street in San Francisco!
5
North Beach
North Beach, a buzzy neighborhood steeped in Italian heritage, draws locals and tourists to its checked-tablecloth trattorias, coffee shops and retro-flavored bars. The spirit of the Beat Generation can be felt at the storied City Lights bookstore and the memorabilia-filled Vesuvio Cafe bar. In Telegraph Hill the Filbert Steps offer a scenic hike to the iconic Coit Tower, with WPA-era murals and panoramic views
6
Nob Hill
Once home to the mansions of the Big Four railroad barons, Nob Hill retains a sense of wealth and privilege. Some of the city’s swankiest hotels are here, as are the ornate, Gothic-style Grace Cathedral and charming Huntington Park. Steep streets are dotted with restaurants and nightspots like the Top of the Mark lounge, with its 360-degree views. The Cable Car Museum exhibits antique cars alongside live machinery
7
Transamerica Pyramid
The Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street between Clay and Washington Streets in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, United States, is a 48-story futurist building and the second-tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline.

I must preface this review with the confession that I'm not a movie fan. I chose this tour because it good good reviews and I wanted to see the Full House house. I ended up enjoying it very much and that's in large part to our guide, Dan. He immediately made everyone feel welcome and had an incredibly impressive body of knowledge when it came to films. We received a sheet of all the neighborhoods we would be visiting along with the movie clips, in order, which was wonderful. The tour is 3 hours long and covers a lot of ground. The company is gracious enough to provide free water and lollipops as a pick-me-up towards the end of the tour. The best part of the tour for me was the amount of the city we saw. We went to every neighborhood imaginable and got to see so much of SF. We did this tour our second day there and it was a better overview of the city than the regular tours were!

Our group included people new to San Fran, as well as a couple veterans who have visited the city several times, and we all loved it. At first, I were a little skeptical taking my grandmother on the tour (who hasnt seen a new movie in years), but she absolutely loved it. It was well paced, included all of my movie and TV favorites (James Bond, Dirty Harry, The Rock, Indiana Jones, Full House). It was great how they could show you the clip from the movie, and then you get the chance to see it in person. Some of our favorite notable stops were City Hall, Golden Gate park & bridge, through the rich neighborhoods of Pacific Heights, Mrs. Doubtfire's house, and many more. Our guide was awesome, knew his stuff, and was very helpful with questions and recommendations. It was also great how they picked us up in front of our hotel (the Fairmont). Bottom line: great tour, great price, doesn't take up your whole day, and it shows you everything you could ever want to see in San Fran. No need for any other tour. Do it!

Did the movietour last week, it did live up to the billing for the most part it received here. But I want to hear about the movies shot around the city - not Wylie's past, present and future (extra) acting career aswell, massaging ego's wasn't in the $49 was it? Wylie made a big point of saying he was there to take any pictures we needed but was so busy waxing lyrical about his life as an actor I was completely blanked the only time we would have appreciated having a photo, or maybe Wylie thought I just standing there lapping up all those actors anecdotes..... er no just a simple snap please if I can get a word in edgeways, oh no time left, back on the bus. It is an entertaining tour, Wylie knows his movies inside out but just needs to pay more attention to ALL the passengers, not just the "star" struck wannabees.
