What To Expect

San Francisco Bay

The magic begins the moment you step aboard. The evening starts with cocktails on deck (additional charge) and continues in style with your sit-down dinner consisting of delicious appetizer, salad, choice of main course and dessert. After dinner, the live band will strike up and play a wide variety of music, including top 40 and classic hits to tempt you onto the dance floor. While dining and dancing you'll cruise in style past San Francisco's famous sights, including Alcatraz, Angel Island, Tiburon and Sausalito.

I would like to start off by saying we loved the view from the boat it truly was beautiful! BUT unfortunately the food in my own opinion wasn’t really good and was kinda cold. Also it kinda sucked because it was my husbands birthday and I had to keep reminding them of this yet other people that had their birthdays that day were getting either a free drink or free slice of cake but they didn’t do anything for my husband. Even after being told it was his birthday multiple times. So I guess if it’s a birthday/anniversary you’re celebrating go with the expectation to be or not be recognized. Outside of that we had a decent time.

The service was good but the boat was freezing cold. The food was ok. My dessert could best be described as a muffin, not a cake

What I didn't like is that they advertise this dinner cruise as if you're going to be on some type of fancy looking boat. I guess they do this to have you thinking that you're going to book this as a couples romantic boat cruise. That's the swindle!!! In actuality the boat that they put you on looks like a mix of a steamboat/fish boat. That's not romantic looking at all. Though the inside of the boat is descent it's not luxury by any means. When the manager Susan came around asking how was everyone's experience (which is nice for her to do) I told her about how they advertise a more luxurious looking boat. She said that the boat we were on is much nicer on the inside. That may be true but how would I know if I never get to see the inside of the luxurious boat. The luxurious boat that they advertise is docked right next to the not so luxurious boat in which at the time just pulled up and had a wedding party get off the boat as we stood and waited thinking that we were getting on that boat. I mean why wouldn't we think that were going to board the luxury boat when they advertise that boat. That's why I paid for the dinner cruise thinking that the boat was going to be luxurious. Previous posts said the same thing but other posts didn't mention it but I found out why. Other people had a great experience on the luxury boat because they were using the luxury boat while they were renovating the steamboat/fish boat. This is what the manager (Susan) said to us. So those people got lucky. So when you book this dinner cruise you're not going to be so lucky unless the crappy boat isn't in service. And the renovations to the crappy boat is mediocre. The service by the staff and crew was good but you're not on the luxurious boat that they advertise. The picture in this post is the luxury boat they advertise. This is not the boat they put you on and I didn't take a picture of the crappy looking boat because my phone died by the time we got off the boat.
