On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

David expertly filled us with great food from no less than 6 legendary eateries - we even had some local wine! The tour was great fun and filled with the rich history and stories from the locale. Highly recommend this - it is easy to get to from your downtown destination.

Titled the Secret Food Tour this was an absolute delight. The enchantment of the Mission District with its fabulous food haunts was simple wonderful. We were warned to come with an empty stomach and we were kept topped by with delights from La Taqueria through to Bi-Rite Creamery. We not only tasted the culinary delights of no less than 6 eateries, we traversed the neighbourhood with David delighting us with wall mural art, tales of famous and not so famous local people though to the majestic views of San Francisco at our last destination. David is a wealth of information and even emailed a few photos (yes I forgot my camera).

Angie was our guide for the 3 hour tour of the Mission, which included five stops (actually 6 places, but the dessert was a combination of cookie and ice cream from two different places). There is no way we could have found these places on our own and ordered the great tasting and interesting items that we enjoyed. The Mission is a must visit area in SF and there is no better way to do it than by tasting great food on this tour!
