Decided to try something different on our trip to Santa Fe and we were very pleased. This tour took us to a neighborhood we probably would never have thought of visiting. Our guide, Noah, was very knowledgeable about Santa Fe history and was basically a great guide. I would recommend this tour if you are visiting Santa Fe for sure. The tour ended with a tasting at the Gruet Winery Santa Fe Tasting Room - perfect ending with an amazing five tastings. We were happy to purchase a variety of Gruet - some bubbles and some still. Looking forward to visiting Santa Fe in the future.

As a history major in college, I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Noah, our guide, was great - the boys out prepared for everything. I learned quite a bit about the Indian settlements through the centuries, the Spanish influence, and the impact of the American settlers to the Santa Fe experience. I also was fortunate to have a civil engineer and an architect on my tour to add additional commentary on authentic vs reproduction adobe buildings. Another highlight, I got my steps in for the day! The walk wasn’t too strenuous, we stopped a few times along the way. Just wear good shoes. In the end, we settled at the St Francis for wine tasting and great conversation. :)

Hello! Thank you for this great review of your walking tour experience. Now that our busiest time of year is behind us we're able to respond and express our appreciate for this feedback!! Everything you've mentioned is spot on and glad to hear you had a civil engineer and architect along to provide additional information. Glad you enjoyed your time at Gruet for the wine tasting and conversation too! Please contact us again when you return to New Mexico. Cheers, The Heritage Inspirations Family

I really don't like writing critical reviews. The guide was charming and pleasant, but the tour was a real disappointment I am afraid to say. We did not visit any of the significant buildings in Santa Fe as far as we were concerned. We did not visit the Statehouse, Supreme Court, Cathedral etc. On the plus side, we did do the oldest church and house. We learned about the four basic styles, but not much else. I thought this was expensive and very poor value for money. The guide was a lovely person, but that does not make up for a disappointing and costly tour.

Hello Denis, We're sorry to hear the tour didn't meet your expectations. We have several guides that conduct this tour and will address to make sure we're delivering the highest quality experience to all of our guests. I'm not sure what tour description you viewed prior to joining us but the one on our website doesn't mention visiting the Statehouse, Supreme Court, or Cathedral. Regarding the Statehouse, I believe you're referring to the State Capitol "Round House". Should you still be in town, here's more information on scheduling a guided tour or taking a self-guided tour of the building. Visitors wishing to schedule a guided tour are encouraged to call 505 986 4589 during regular business hours to make an appointment. Visitors are welcome to enjoy self-guided tours Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Capitol is also open for self-guided tours on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m from Memorial Day through the last Saturday in August. Our intention with creating this tour is to take our guests away from the Downtown Plaza area, showcase the unique charm, history, culture, and architectural of parts of the Downtown corridor that most visitors don't get to experience, and provide a deeper context of Santa Fe. We've received positive feedback from our guests because of this and it's unfortunate you didn't have the same experience. We're keeping your feedback in mind on ways we may be able to improve this tour. We hope the rest of your time in Santa Fe's been enjoyable. Respectfully, The Heritage Inspirations Family
