Santa Fe Railyard Farmers Market Food Tour

Overview
Skip the long lines and dive into the bold, smoky, and complex flavors of traditional New Mexican cuisine with a chef-guided lunch at La Choza—the beloved sister restaurant of The Shed. Starting in the Santa Fe Railyard, we’ll take a scenic stroll along the historic Rail Trail before settling in for an exclusive, three-course meal at this local favorite, renowned for its award-winning red and green chile.

Led by a culinary expert, this immersive lunch explores the origins and evolution of New Mexico’s distinct cuisine, with a comparative tasting that highlights the key differences between Mexican and New Mexican flavors. To elevate the experience, we’ll celebrate Santa Fe’s status as the Margarita Capital of America with a top-shelf margarita pairing for each course, showcasing different styles and expressions of this iconic cocktail.

After indulging in a feast of local flavors, we’ll finish on a sweet note with a locally inspired dessert at Santa Fe’s premier craft ice creamery

Visiting for the first time from New York and NJ, my husband and I and another couple thought a Food Tour around Santa Fe would be a sweet & spicy intro to this beautiful city. From the moment our fearless leader of Wander Tours seated us at Sage Bake House, Lauren truly had us at hello. The tartines were delicious but Lauren’s hilarious sense of humor, endearing passion for food and history and her delicious blend of sweetness & spiciness was above and beyond our wildest expectations. Meeting restaurant owners, sampling incredible food and drink and mingling with her and other tour guests proved an A+ experience. Ask for Lauren as your guide... truly, incredibly THE BEST✅ Karen & Arthur P Manhattan/ East Windsor, NJ

Lauren did a great job discussing food and history in the Santa Fe art district. For the out of town visiter, this is a great way to get in introduction to the charm, art and cusisne of the Land of Enchantment. Another plus - people who do this sort of thing are pleasant and enjoyable to be with.

Our fabulous tour guide shared her passion for cooking on this "foodie" walk. Her relationship with the owners of "the Shed", and la Choza, as well as Resturant Martin, truly made this a great tour of the Railyard district. Ideally, a lower price and more drinkable pairings would make this tour even better.
