Santa Fe Railyard Farmers Market Food Tour

Overview
Skip the long lines and dive into the bold, smoky, and complex flavors of traditional New Mexican cuisine with a chef-guided lunch at La Choza—the beloved sister restaurant of The Shed. Starting in the Santa Fe Railyard, we’ll take a scenic stroll along the historic Rail Trail before settling in for an exclusive, three-course meal at this local favorite, renowned for its award-winning red and green chile.

Led by a culinary expert, this immersive lunch explores the origins and evolution of New Mexico’s distinct cuisine, with a comparative tasting that highlights the key differences between Mexican and New Mexican flavors. To elevate the experience, we’ll celebrate Santa Fe’s status as the Margarita Capital of America with a top-shelf margarita pairing for each course, showcasing different styles and expressions of this iconic cocktail.

After indulging in a feast of local flavors, we’ll finish on a sweet note with a locally inspired dessert at Santa Fe’s premier craft ice creamery

We were 5 mins late which served as a great ice breaker with our guide Lauren and our group. Of course all the food delicious (my favorite La Choza), touching on something uniquely Santa Fe, but Lauren gave the tour it’s personality. Highly recommend the tour early in your visit so you can get the best local knowledge of the area.

Hi Todd, Thanks for joining us on a Railyard tour and thanks for the review! We agree - Lauren is a great guide. We definitely recommend that people take a tour early in their visit, if possible - we love giving tips and recommendations for a Santa Fe visit. We hope to see you back on another tour! Cheers, Joe

We took this tour today thinking it would be a great way to learn a little Santa Fe history and be introduced to some local specialties. It did not disappoint! These were not just nibbles of food but good appetizer size portions. We sat down took our time listened to stories and met new friends! Jay was a fun and knowledgeable guide. Thanks for a fantastic day

This was our second time in Santa Fe, but the first food tour. I have done other food tours, but this one was by far the best. Jay was our guide and he was great. He was knowledgeable about the history of Santa Fe and took us to some great places to sample the local fare. I highly recommend taking this tour!
