We are sad to say, we learned more from his website about the history of Sapelo Island than we did on JR's tour. We were on a school bus which was fine. We thought this would be the highlight of our trip to Georgia. We really learned so much more at the Pin Point Museum near Savannah.

Unfortunately, due to an emergency situation with having to rush my companion to the hospital with heart failure, I was unable to guide the tour myself. I will be glad to give them a free tour if they wish to come back, personally guided. I have collected all of the many books about Sapelo Island's history, as well as of the colorful accounts of R.J. Reynolds' four wives and four divorces!

You simply have to take this tour! My guide, Jim Morrison, was a wealth of knowledge! He was just as fascinating as the tour he gave me of Sapalo Island. He will tailor the tour to your interests, and his stories will instantly take you back in time, as you walk amongst the complicated history of what this 10 mile long island holds. Did I mention he had helped saved miles and miles of the fragile Georgia coast line, and survived a plane crash!?! Don’t miss this tour!! I was solo traveling, and now I can’t wait to go back with my kids!
