Having lived in Salem for 30+ years, I know a lot of the history. I have overheard many a tour guide talking about drinking blood and ghastly life sources, and talk of ghosts, zombies and the like, but that is not the Salem I know, nor the events that Thomas delves into. He is not a charlatan nor trying to be āentertainingā as in grandstanding. Thomas was very entertaining in his education and his delivery of facts as it relates to the Witchcraft hysteria, but also presented the established lifestyle and lore of the Puritans. He knows about the maritime history of Salem and how that influenced the growth of Salem and the spreading of the news of the hysteria around the world. I learned a lot about the individuals who were tortured and the reasons why they were the ones selected to suffer.
Thomas answered all questions and was able to help us to reflect on more modern events in relation to the hysteria. I learned several facts about modern day Witches and Satanism that I had not been schooled in; in essence, the folks who are devoted to the temple are normal people with good energy.
The tour took 90 minutes, was very reasonable in cost, walked at a comfortable pace, throughout landmarks of downtown, was a small group-yeah!, and he could convey his thoughts clearly and audibly without a microphone.
Do yourself a favor, and book with Thomas through the Satanic Temple.
