Taken many tours through out my travels and never experienced the enthusiasm and knowledge as our tour guide, Shannon Scott shared with us during our tour in Bonaventure Cemetery on 10/31/13. Shannon gave us insight into Savannah's deep southern history, folklore, its families and mysteries .Shannon Scott is by far the most interesting and charismatic storyteller ever. In Shannon's storytelling you can feel his love and respect for Savannah and Bonaventure.

It is obvious that Shannon Scott, like Mark Twain, loves "a good story well told". He certainly kept us hanging on every syllable for almost three hours as we walked from one good story to the next through Bonaventure Cemetery. He does a fabulous job of bringing to life the perpetual residents of Savannah's most famous garden, throwing in personal anecdotes and shared secrets from those still among us. Shannon is a gifted storyteller, a gracious host, and a lot of fun! Bring your walking shoes, camera, an umbrella for rain or sun, and a cool drink. And get out before those cemetery gates slam shut at 5 o'clock......!

I just happened to be asked to accompany a couple of acquaintances on this tour last night. Needless to say, I had only a vague idea of what I would encounter. I found the tour guide, Shannon Scott, to be not only a true storyteller weaver, but he made this tour so personal with his wonderful historical knowledge and stellar delivery! I left the cemetery with the satisfaction of experiencing art in one of its wonderful forms. If visiting Savannah you must make this tour a priority, and I can assure you that you will never look at a graveyard again in the same way as you once did. Bonaventure was not only beautiful but oh so intriguing! Ann
