Built on a trust lot facing Lafayette Square, the house, enhanced by its original mid-nineteenth century garden, provides a glimpse of the genteel life of nineteenth-century Savannah in an urban setting. Juliette Magill Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA , was born in Savannah, Georgia, on October 31, 1860. She died January 17, 1927 in the Andrew Low House

First let me say that our driver safely navigated us around the city in a very professional manner. The ride was very nice. The house we visited had knowledgeable people who answered any questions we had and the actress/guide at the Chandlery was great! Our guide Bella is the reason for a non 5 star review. I understand the acting part of the tour and being in character. Her period looking clothing was nice, however her fake British/Australian (not sure what she was going for) accent made her difficult to understand. On top of that she held the microphone so close to her mouth the entire rear of the trolley could not understand most of what she was saying. A gentleman in front of us happened to work in sound production and quietly told her at one of the stops that we could not understand her and suggested she pull the mic back a bit. Her response was “yeah I’ve heard that before but this is the best it’s gonna get”. I would recommend this tour purely for the stops and the nice ride around the city. If you are looking for creepy backstories or other info, depending on your guide you may only hear what the Charlie Brown cartoon children heard when listening to adults or teachers.

This was great fun while in Savannah last week. Our guide was a lot of fun (sorry missed her name) & a good story teller. The process was easy. Trolley car was on time & was as described. Enjoyed the actors that would occasionally come aboard to tell their own stories. Fun!
