We have done this excursion several times but were very disappointed with our driver. He seemed to travel the same streets multiple times rather than going on more streets. He gave very limited information about the many statues in the squares. He didn’t even mention the Daughters of the Confederacy statue nor did he talk much about Sherman and Savannah during the Civil War. He didn’t even take us by the house where the Girl Scouts started which has been on all of the other tours we’ve taken. He also did not take us to the riverboat but dropped off us at the Hyatt Hotel. He said they’ve been doing that for years but that is not true as we took this same excursion last April and September and we were left off on River Street. Although we were disappointed, our guests enjoyed the tour.

The sites were beautiful. This time of year, March, the temperature was good for riding in the open air trolley. I fear what it would be like in the summer. Also, the trolleys seats do not have much leg room if you are a taller person. Our guide on this trip was low energy and repeated himself a lot, as if he was filling time. Since we purchased both the trolley and riverboat tour, we were disappointed that the guide did not give us any information on where to go for the boat ride. We had to look around for signs in front of the boat and figure it out. Several people were confused about this as well.

Radar was a fantastic trolly driver/guide. Very enjoyable experience for both the trolly and boat. Definitely worth the cost.
