Had a great time learning about the city and eating amazing food. Our tour guide was very friendly and knew the history.

We do food tours when we travel. This one was excellent. We visited 6 establishments and they all were great choices. Our guide, Senache, did a great job.

Our guide told us this was her second tour. She, apparently, did not have any training and certainly was not a food expert. She was given notes to read to us at each stop, even though she said she was a Bar Harbor native. She had never had a crab cake! Couldn't pronounce simple food items like arugula and remoulade (and didn't know what it was). The company should have a training period, when they shadow an experienced guide, learn their script, and know what they are talking about. The food items were good, and with an experienced guide, it would have been worth it. It's the company's fault for not training its employees.

Dear Guest, You are correct in your review. We lost a key guide in Bar Harbor in the midst of our busiest season and have hustled to hire and train to meet our demands. We made a mistake as this guide was not quite ready to manage all the duties of the role, and we are continuing our training efforts with her now. In hindsight, we should have canceled your tour to focus more on her training, and we apologize for this error. It is never our goal to deliver a tour deserving just 2 stars, and we are grateful for the feedback so we may continue to improve. Thank you.
