Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

Our guide was Faith. She was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke loud enough for everyone to hear! We stopped at great spots, learned a little history about Charleston and food served in the area, even if it didn't originate in the area.

My friend and I decided to try this event based on Tripadvisor. We could not have been more pleased. Food was excellent and they accommodated me as a vegetarian along with another person with a food allergy. Definitely try this as you can enjoy flavors of Charleston while walking off the calories.

Blake did a phenomenal tour. Learned so much about the food and food culture of Charleston. The food tasting was more than I expected. I recommend people do this tour before making restaurant reservations to decide where to dine.
