This tour has all of the ingredients of a good one, but I think we had a bad day when things didn't quite come together. The tour started almost 40 minutes late, although the Callie's biscuits we were waiting for were amazing and the best food of the tour. Possibly because the schedule was disrupted, we ended up hitting a couple of retail stops first before finally sitting down at a restaurant, which wasn't ideal. It is probably the high bar set by Charleston restaurants, but the restaurant food we had was unremarkable by comparison to other meals we'd had on the trip. It was also a little disappointing to stick so close to the very touristy areas around the Market. With an on-time departure and better scheduling of stops this tour would probably be more successful.

Thank you for this thoughtful feedback, which we are absolutely taking to heart. Please contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to discuss ways we might make this right. Again, you raise many salient points - all greatly appreciated. It helps us tremendously.

Savor the flavor tour was wonderful. Our guide Sarah was very knowledgeable and you can tell how much she loves Charleston. The food tastings were outstanding and plentiful. We were able to sample (good size portions) every flavor of Charleston. The only negative about the tour was while in each restaurant the music was way too loud. This hindered our ability to hear everything Sarah was saying. Possible solution would be smaller group(10 or less) or different seating arrangements with Sarah facing all guests. But still would highly recommend this tour.

Thanks so much for your review! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the food as well as your guide Sarah on the culinary. We completely understand the challenge of trying to hear on the tour and are looking for any adjustments to help in the future. We try to keep the tours small as is because of this as well as to create a more intimate tour. While the city allows up to twenty people for the tour, we try to maximize at twelve. Thanks again for your feedback as well as visiting Charleston with us!
