Started at the City Market with biscuits, then on to a peanut vendor. Literally one Solo size cup of fried peanuts in a cup for 15 or so people. Then on to candy - sample of pecan praline and one to take with - not appealing at 11'ish in the morning. Then to the spice store where we could sample spice laced dips and oils like any other patron that walked through the door. Last two stops were more a bit more substantial at seafood restaurants. Our guide was lovely and informative but overall this was extremely expensive and absolutley not worth it at $130 for 2 people. Thumbs down.

We're glad to hear that you were pleased with your guide, but concerned about your overall experience. Please contact Randy Johnson, our Guide Manager, at [email protected], to arrange for a refund. We would really like to discuss your experience in more depth, including any suggestions as to what we can offer in the future that would make the price seem more in line with the experience. We are definitely increasing the volume of samples - totally in agreement that one cup of fried peanuts (no matter how delicious) isn't nearly enough to titillate the tastebuds of fifteen guests. Something went wrong there and we are making sure we fix it. Huge thanks for this feedback. Regards!

We love taking food tours and have taken many in many different Cities. Our guide Franny Russell, may be THE BEST guide we have ever had. She is an excellent historian and a"foodie" through and through. Her knowledge of the Charleston food scene is AMAZING. If you are taking a walking culinary tour---this is the one you want and ask for Franny!!!!
