Great tour!!! My wife and I visited Charleston this past weekend and only had time for one tour. We chose the Savor the Flavors Tour of Downtown Charleston. We had a blast and learned so much about the area. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the subject. Our only mistake was having breakfast BEFORE the tour. Should have waited as there was plenty to eat ON the tour! Highly recommend this company and the tour!

We took the Bulldog Tours Food Walking Tour with Franny. She was so personable and informative. Franny's personality was perfect as she interacted with all participants and imparted fascinating knowledge of Charleston history and cuisine. We visited five different shops/restaurants and enjoyed sampling their offerings while learning about the city's history.

Thank you for the kind words. It is great to hear that you had a good time on the tour. Franny does a wonderful job. So many people come away from her tours referring to her as their new friend. She is a truly fantastic tour guide. Thank you for letting us know about your experience. Theresa Stratford Bulldog Tours

This was the first food/culinary tour for us. Since we both are foodies thought it was worth a try. Our tour guide Fran is a Charleston native and did a wonderful job taking us through the history of Charleston, its people and its dishes. Our first stop was for cheese, ham & cheese and cinnamon roll biscuits...yum! Then we moved on to a spice and tea shop where we smelled and tasted different spices in dips and spreads. Next we visited a sweet shop and sampled fudge, peanut brittle, candies nuts and bear claws. We got a praline to go! On to the Oyster Bar where we tried bacon wrapped shrimp, red rice and hush puppies. Our final stop was Poogan’s Smokehouse where we sampled pulled pork sliders, pimento cheese balls and skillet cornbread. The food was all delicious and we received impeccable service wherever we went. Our only complaint has to do with parking. We could not find any information in the details with recommendations of where to park before the tour. We are not very familiar with downtown Charleston, so we parked at a lot relatively close to the meeting spot. It cost us $30 to park there, which is excessive for a 2.5 hour tour. A suggestion is to give tour goers parking recommendations and relative cost.

Thank you for your fantastic review. We are so glad you had a good time on the tour with us. Thank you for the thorough review. We appreciate it. We will check what information is on our site about parking in downtown Charleston. $30 for the day sounds about right, however. That is indeed the going rate. We are sorry if it was inconvenient to find a spot. Thank you for the feedback.
