Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

We had a great time with Suzanne as she knew the food scene as well as her history of Charleston. 5 good stops for very different food tastes and plenty of info on each stop. All our restaurants were so nice and accommodating. Great tour.

We covered everything from candy and spices to seafood and BBQ. Gordon was very knowledgeable about the international origins of Charleston's favorite foods. The food was terrific and we had a great time

I loved touring with our guide. I cannot remember her name now! :( She had dark hair, probably upper 60s. She took us to the graveyard of St Pauls, so cool hearing her stories. Loved when she took us to the tea and spice shop and another broken egg cafe! She was amazing!
