We have been on a few food tours in different cities around the world and we weren't sure what to expect with Bulldog Tours version in Charleston? So we were pleasantly surprised by not only the food but the great history we learned about the city and it's people and its food! We visited five eating establishments which included three nice restaurants, a place with spices, salts and oils, and Market Street Sweets for some incredible treats! We had a really nice sampling of Charleston's food offerings including oysters, soup, rice, bbq, seafood, fried okra, and pralines! There's certainly enough to eat to satisfy your appetite for awhile and you get to walk it off a bit, although there is not an extensive amount of walking! Our guide Sarah was extremely knowledgeable about the city and all of its history, and she answered all questions and even offered seconds on many of the food samples! This tour was definitely worth the price and should leave you with a good understanding of the city and its food!

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was great. I would recommend not eating before the tour. There was enough food for a complete meal. Great variety of food for sampling.

This was so diappointing they did not take you to any places that were authenic I did a food tour last November with Viator in New Orleans and that was great. This tour included two places for spices and pralines and they were nothing specia plus they gave you a discount on their products I felt it was just a promotional gimick-l plus the restaurangs were mediocre. Would not recommend this tour at all.
