Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

This was a delightful sampling of the many different food offerings available in Charleston! Bring your appetite with you, and make sure to skip lunch before going on this tour. You'll probably wind up skipping dinner as well! My wife and I did. Our tour guide as a certified by the city guide, and in addition to the delicious food we sampled, we learned about both the history and the culture of the town as well. It was a fun afternoon and we highly recommend it.

I enjoyed all aspects of the food tour: food, drinks, and, most especially, the tour guide, Faith. She was fun, informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining. It was the highlight of my trip. I highly recommend Bulldog Tours.
