Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

We loved learning the history of Charleston and eating our way through the city. This tour gives you tons of food so come ready to eat. Blake was a nice guide and helped us understand the city and local flavors!

Just went on a very nice food tour. The food was plentiful and delicious and we enjoyed our time. I was disappointed that the first 2 places were chains that I could go to in my own city. My hope was that we would only go to local places. I probably would not have gone to this particular tour if I had known we were going to a chain.

This is a great way to explore the special foods of the area! Tom, the tour guide, was knowledgeable about restaurants and the history of Charleston. If you are staying for a few days, begin with this tour to obtain information about the city restaurants and prices!
