Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Charleston City Market

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

The pictures are misleading. Ist stop they didn't have enough for my friend and they didn't try to resolve the issue. We were asked to cut the portion and give the half to another person. We didn't appreciate how unsanitary that was. Next stop we squeezed into a praline shop and got a small Praline. We got a 2 1/2 inch fish taco next with raw tuna which my companion doesn't eat. Then to a tea and spice shop. We finally went to a wine bar that served a dollop of Mashed potato about 1 ounce of beef and 1 mini carrot. Delicious but enough food for the price. Nothing but the praline was southern. We thought we would experience Charleston but we thought wrong!
