Our tour guide, Faith, explained the history of all the food we tasted all the while instructing us on the importance of that food to Charleston. She was kind and attentive. The restaurants welcomed us and were available for all questions.

This was a fun tour - our guide did a good job of discussing the historical significance of the menu items we were trying. The venues where we taste-tested were ready for us and were gracious, the food was very tasty (and filling!!). We had an interesting discussion about oysters, the various types, where they grow in the area and how oyster shells are "recycled" to help new oyster beds grow. Who knew? This is a fun and delicious way to introduce yourselves to Charleston.

It was not a very memorable experience. The food was very good. I found our guide to not offer much to the experience. I would have preferred a lot more history and story telling about where we were and where we were going, as well as more color on the food we were eating
