Very informative guide. The park was beautiful and enjoyed the trip. I am glad that we had a guide to show us the highlights.

Our first 2 stops were a complete waste of time. Stood in line to have photos taken with the Bryce Canyon sign, then within 5 minutes stopped for a 15-20 minute bathroom and shopping break. Our guide Ted, made corny and clearly well worn jokes most of the time.

Admittedly our normal public group tour does not stop at the National park sign or the visitor center..but sometimes on a group tour the unanimous vote can alter our course. Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours I had scheduled a group tour for my Husband and me, as I did not see a private tour option on their web site. We arrived for the tour and I asked if they offered private tours, figuring we could reschedule and return for a private tour if available. I was surprised when Oscar, the owner, to personally took us for a private tour on the spot. Turns out Oscar had been hiking Bryce since he was 6 years old and had grown up in the area. He and his guides are locals with a wealth of knowledge about Bryce Canyon and the parks of Utah. Oscar had spent time in the Scouts and knew a lot about surviving in the outdoors. His knowledge of trees and plants was so interesting - some trees produce their own sunscreen (that humans can use) and some smell like vanilla caramel when they warm up. Oscar took us to his favorite lookouts and guided us on the perfect hike. He knew the best locations for stunning photos and was kind enough to play photographer for us. I appreciated that he wore a mask inside the van. We spent a great three hours on our private tour, which was just enough for us. However, clients can customize their tours. We had done quite a few private tours of national parks, given our higher risk for Covid-19 exposure, and found Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours to be very reasonably priced. I highly recommend a private or group tour with this company.
