Sea Kayak Tour in Casco Bay

Overview
Learn the basics of sea kayaking on land before launching at Mere Point in Brunswick for a leisurely 3 hour morning tour of Northwest Casco Bay!  Often we paddle south to the end of Mere Point for a photo op and then on to visiting an island for a stretch break, snacks, and shoreline exploring. Then we paddle back on a different route close to an island to our launching point. Your Master Maine Guide will share history of the area while adapting the tour to paddling conditions and participants abilities.

Sea kayaking is an easy, fun way to sightsee from the water.  We often see different kinds of sea gulls, cormorants, ducks, great blue herons, snowy egrets, osprey and sometimes bald eagles. If we are lucky, we will see a seal.

Paddlers of all ages will love exploring Casco Bay in this protected, scenic, historic area! No experience is needed. This a family-oriented experience. Single and double kayaks are used on this guided tour by a Master Maine Guide.

Alice is so wonderful and responsible. I was a bit nervous to try sea kayaking but it was so special and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again with Alice. We plan to have more adventures with her in the future as she offers different programs.

Trying out new experiences are best done with expert assistance and support. I LOVE going out with beginners so that I can introduce them to special points of the new activities that they are trying. My trips offer many extras and thank you for noticing that. Please book early for 2021 so we can have more fun!

My friends and I took a guided tour with Alice in sea kayaks to Malaga Island. The kayaking itself took less than an hour each way, with mild exertion. Alice brought freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter brownies, which we enjoyed on the island. She was a fount of knowledge about the flora and fauna we saw as well as the social/political history of the island. Among other things, we saw at least half a dozen seals either basking in the sun or swimming nearby and we saw a bald eagle. I expected to be eaten up by mosquitoes, as I had been on two nearby hikes that weekend, but I came away unscathed. Since returning home, I keep recommending this kayak trip to friends and thought I should do so in a more official capacity here on TripAdvisor.

What a trip to Malaga Island we had! The island welcomed us and the seals, eagles, osprey came out to visit you! Thank you for the referrals for a great trip. They are the best type of advertising. I hope that you will be booking with me for a different trip the next time you are in Maine.
