SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium
At more than 10 authentically themed displays featuring diverse species and habitats, you'll learn about marine conservation and observe some 2,000 animals. Stop by a tank of blacktip reef sharks, which come from the tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific oceans, and enter an underwater tunnel for a panoramic view of sharks as they swim past. Watch a feeding for cownose rays, which swim in schools of up to 10,000 in the wild, and see how they use their synchronized flaps to stir up ocean sediment on the tunnel floor. Search for a male seahorse with a brood of babies in its pouch. Spy clown fish and observe jellyfish floating inside a tank that mimic ocean tides and currents. You can also learn about creatures that inhabit shores and coastal tide, such as sea anemones, sea urchins and horseshoe crabs. Learn about SEA LIFE's successful breeding programs for endangered animals, and discover how the aquarium supports worldwide conservation projects.

Home educated my, now grown children. Happy to see they are home educating their children who were confined due to COVID craziness and winter doldrums. Enticed by the saving of 55% on tickets, I brought 3 of my grandchildren. PROS: Exihibits were great - end there. Suggest that thrill seekers go across to Rainforest Cafe and see the sea life and animatronics for FREE!! far better value. . . CONS: At 11am reservation time met with extremely L-O-N-G lines - not equipped to handle the crowd; not enough staff on duty - only one person at the counter to scan pre-printed tickets; guestbook $5.30 - supposed to be excited by the coupon inside offering a measely 10% off gift shop purchases; tight, cramped spaces with wagons, double strollers, and wandering toddlers; once on the path it was HOT-poor climate control; ridiculously inflated prices on $1 store items featured in the gift shop; photographer (whom you see upon entry) didnt bother direct or advise us on where to stand for best picture. Resulted in fuzzy picture with subjets positioned to the far right background of SeaLife backdrop.Should have walked away but grands wanted the picture - requested a retake!! ; cost of photo not posted anywhere (2 shots with SeaLife backdrops $37.50); advised to travel the path in ONE DIRECTION became rather chaotic as people doubled back to take pictures inside of aquarium. ONE AND DONE - glad it was at such a reduced price - never again! ADVICE: Do not visit an aquarium located in a shopping mall.

We still had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. It would be nice if there was also a kiosk that can scan the barcodes instead of waiting for the front desk staff. All & all the aquarium was fun. I would go again!
