Is chocolate a food or a technology? Why does it hold such a special place in cultures around the world? Most importantly: How do YOU like your chocolate?

On this tour you'll need all your senses to help answer these questions, and there's no better place to explore the world of chocolate than the city famous for beans that give you a buzz.

This 2.5 hour walking tour will fill you to the brim with chocolatey goodness. Dark. Milk. Drinking. Solid. Spicy. Bitter. Sweet. With nuts. With fruits. And the purest of the pure. You will leave with a deeper understanding of the attention that goes into each decadent bite you take.

Included in your ticket price is 12 individual tastes of chocolate (keep breakfast light). We will visit 8 of Downtown Seattle's most beloved food stops so that there is a little something for everyone!

We booked this tour because our daughter LOVES chocolate. Will did not disappoint! The day was dreary, wet and cold, but we pressed forward with the goal of tasting lots and lots of chocolate. We started off with chocolate ice cream at Cupcake Royale then proceeded to trek around town visiting many local businesses tasting delicious chocolate. From ice cream to Mexican Champurrado to chocolate covered cherries. There was a variety of flavors and chocolate flavored items. Will was kind enough to find some delicious non-chocolate items to provide a little variety. Will was an excellent tour guide. He provides us with layers of details and facts about the chocolates we tasted and the businesses providing the delish morsels. Highly recommend the tour, but perhaps when it is not raining.

I took this tour a few years ago and it was great. We started at a bakery and had chocolate croissants with hot chocolate before we toured three different chocolate factories (Seattle chocolates, Theo’s, and Franz). We got to see how the cocoa beans are processed and sample different products. I recommended the tour to my family when they visited. They were disappointed, as they did not get to see any processing of the chocolates and they had to spend much of their time standing, walking, waiting outside the stores in very cold 40-degree weather. They did say however, that their tour guide was very nice and knowledgable.

Hi Rima! Just to let you know we did not operate this tour a few years ago so it looks like the mistake is yours. I'm not exactly sure what made you think this was the tour you took before, but we've never had any other guest make this mistake. Since you were not present on this tour, we would appreciate if you could rescind your review. We recommend reading the description next time as it gives a good description about what to expect!
