Overview

Get acquainted with Seattle's historic waterfront from the water side of the wharf on this fully narrated cruise of Elliott Bay and Seattle Harbor. This cruise follows the shoreline and provides up-close views of the piers, ports and area attractions. There are plenty of interesting features around the bay: the Port of Seattle (one of the busiest ports in the United States), Colman Dock (the main dock of the largest ferry system in the US), and Pier 90 (home of the region's cruise ship business), Alki Beach (major local summertime hangout), the Space Needle, the famous Hotel Edgewater, the Great Wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. Last but not least, enjoy tremendous views of the natural beauty that surrounds Seattle. The majestic Olympic Mountains lie to the west, solitary Mount Rainier to the southeast, and the inviting Cascade Range to the east.

Did it to please my wife. Unless you have never done such a cruise anywhere else, it’s over rated. The commentary is however useful

Even in early December this was a popular attraction so I imagine that you would need to book in advance in the peak period. We purchased the ticket via the hotel concierge which fortunately gave us a discount. When you get to the boat you have to join an orderly queue so best seats are on a first come first served basis. The boat tour is about an hour right around the harbour providing great views of the city. The tour is narrated which is very informative and well delivered. Overall for a reasonable price this is a good way to spend and hour or so. Recommended

I was visiting Seattle for a long weekend and had to maximize my time. I took the 2:45 cruise and had a great time. Not only did it help me understand why Seattle has exploded over the last fifty years, it was an amazing visual experience. The tour guide was expert and informative, and the seals provided a little extra entertainment. Worth every penny and I would absolutely do it again on my next visit.
