Overview

Get acquainted with Seattle's historic waterfront from the water side of the wharf on this fully narrated cruise of Elliott Bay and Seattle Harbor. This cruise follows the shoreline and provides up-close views of the piers, ports and area attractions. There are plenty of interesting features around the bay: the Port of Seattle (one of the busiest ports in the United States), Colman Dock (the main dock of the largest ferry system in the US), and Pier 90 (home of the region's cruise ship business), Alki Beach (major local summertime hangout), the Space Needle, the famous Hotel Edgewater, the Great Wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. Last but not least, enjoy tremendous views of the natural beauty that surrounds Seattle. The majestic Olympic Mountains lie to the west, solitary Mount Rainier to the southeast, and the inviting Cascade Range to the east.

When I bought the ticket I went because it was part of my CityPass. I won't Lie, I thought it would be cheesy and touristy. It was spectacular. I love the fun facts my guide threw in and the photos you take of the skyline are breathtaking. I recommend this for everyone and will be taking a longer cruise from them next time.

We went on this as it was included in our CityPass. This was surprisingly one of the more enjoyable parts of our trip for two main reasons: 1. The views of the city are amazing 2. The history presented by the captain was very thorough and interesting The departure pier is located so close to so many other attractions (Seattle Aquarium, Pike Place Market, original Starbucks), that it is very easy to take this tour. If you have the CityPass, I highly recommend this tour.

We went on this as it was included in our CityPass, and fortunately the weather was quite good for us. There was an upstairs section which was enclosed so it was warm enough, and you could go outside on the back of the boat to get better photos. Unfortunately we couldn't really hear the tour commentary on the back of the boat however, but it was a good cruise, being just the right amount of time to savour some good views of the Seattle skyline and also distant mountains, whilst not being so long that it became boring.
