Overview

Get acquainted with Seattle's historic waterfront from the water side of the wharf on this fully narrated cruise of Elliott Bay and Seattle Harbor. This cruise follows the shoreline and provides up-close views of the piers, ports and area attractions. There are plenty of interesting features around the bay: the Port of Seattle (one of the busiest ports in the United States), Colman Dock (the main dock of the largest ferry system in the US), and Pier 90 (home of the region's cruise ship business), Alki Beach (major local summertime hangout), the Space Needle, the famous Hotel Edgewater, the Great Wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. Last but not least, enjoy tremendous views of the natural beauty that surrounds Seattle. The majestic Olympic Mountains lie to the west, solitary Mount Rainier to the southeast, and the inviting Cascade Range to the east.

I was fortunate enough to ride on the brand new ship and have a sunny day. The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. Very interesting.

Fabulous feel for Sea Town - best views and fun historical overview of how Seattle grew to the city it is today. We like the Harbor Cruise for the city skyline views and watching the ferries. Argosy crew is efficient and skilled. The journey is smooth, clean and safe. The photo package is a good memory keepsake. Splendid sailing on a sunny day, but fun too in Seattle's more common gray misting. Get a hot drink and hang out on deck for the best views and feel for this ocean city. Wear extra layers to stay comfortable, even in summer, sweaters and scarves are welcome company.

The tour and the guide both were what I expected, very good. A hint to improve the overall experience: Once you pay online, having the receipt and voucher already on you phone, you should be able to enter the boat with your phone instead of having to get the tickets and wait in line twice.
