One of the best tours we've taken in years, surpassing our Napa valley tour.. Our guide Daniel, native to Washington, knows history well of the area. Tour in the morning includes a scenic drive through the countryside, quaint villages, en route to the Snoqualmie waterfalls. We had time to tour upper and lower falls, with a short trail thru the forest of old g4owth Douglas Fir and Hemlock, quite a site to see! For the science buffs, Daniel gave a primer to local hydrology dating back to early 1900s from the waterfalls. Truly a spectacular site, the waterfalls are impressive. Lunch at Heritage restaurant in Woodinville with our guide was very tasty, included in cost of the tour. Daniel provided an overview of the wine growing regions throughout the state, took us to 3 tasting rooms: Efeste, and Spakman, and concluded the tour at Chateau St Michelle, the grounds are a truly beautiful location.

Daniel, our tour guide, drove us to Snoqualmie Falls in a new Mercedes van, complete with pastries, coffee and tea for our first stop by the historic train depot enroute to the Falls. We hiked the trail to the Falls and the Lodge while taking lots of pictures, then took a trail that wound down the mountain through beautiful wooded vistas. Daniel then took us to lunch at a classy restaurant in Woodinville called Harvest, and to 3 wine tastings: Sparkman Tasting Room, Efeste Tasting Room and Winery, & Chateau St. Michelle Winery & Vineyards. The wines were all excellent. It was a wonderful day that created unforgettable memories, and Daniel was a great tour guide (very knowledgeable about the history and the attractions of that area).
