What To Expect

Coastal Discovery Museum

Our most popular Eco-Tour. Ride through open meadows, live oak-forest, explore the salt marsh and hear the history of the 70 acre, former cotton plantation. When done, enjoy the Coastal Discovery Museum. Eco Tours are stop and go, narrated tours mixing fun with a little new knowledge. Great for younger children, families and those who want a slower-paced activity. Had a great afternoon ride. Mary was our tour guide and was a great instructor as none of us had ever been on a Segway before. She had us feeling 100% comfortable on them in no time (not that we were worried about the 12 yo catching on). We rode all around Honey Horn and she knows all the good photo op spots. She is very knowledgeable of the area and had lots of interesting facts to share with us. Would highly recommend!!!!! Thanks again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Segway tour of Honey Horn. It was a PERFECT mix of fun and education! We had a "5 star tour guide" named Mary, who taught us a great deal about the history of this gorgeous area. She also shared many cool facts about the plants and animals we encountered as we cruised along the path. Mary didn't waste time with a long training session since she realized we had a considerable amount of previous experience riding Segways. However, she was very conscientious about our safety at all times. She took care of all our needs, including bug spray, sunscreen, bottled water, and a willingness to take photos at our request. The weather was beautiful, and so was our experience touring this plantation on Segways!
