Overview

This door-to door, semi-private, modified "hop-on, hop-off" wine tasting tour service allows you to create your own itinerary in the Paso Robles Wine Country. The approximately 5+hour service picks you up, shuttles you to the winery appointments scheduled on your behalf and returns you at the end of the day. The à la carte fare offers choices from over 90 wineries in the region from which you can request for your day but does not include lunch (can be added) or tasting fees (can also be added for specific wineries). Once you’ve picked your fare, and 4 wineries you’d like to request for your day, you will send them (4 priority+2 backups) at your earliest convenience. They will then create your itinerary, and make the appointments for your party, provided they can be accommodated, and take you accordingly throughout the day. Large parties (7+) have limited options for winery choices.

The Wine Line is worth it. Our driver, Morie, was a safe driver. He had wonderful recommendations for food and wine at the vineyards. We were his only guests and he was very patient waiting long periods while we enjoyed ourselves at Steinbeck, Bianchi, and Vino Robles. We had our adventure on December 5, 2020 and the weather was neither too hot not too cold. Evenings were quite cool. Absolutely every venue is outdoor seating only due to covid 19. We arrived just in time as the area went back into quarantine the following day and even outdoor seating is now gone. It was sad to miss out on the pretty tasting rooms. The private tour at Bianchi was even better than I even hoped and Howie was a lovely tour guide. You should take this tour! The Viognier is remarkable and I usually drink reds. Bianchi has a large koi in a nice sized pond and was peaceful.The Sparkling California wine was surprisingly good and I bought 2 bottles. One for me and one as a Christmas gift. Vino Robles had amazing pomme frittes (french fries) served with a delicious lemon aoli. I didn't want to go home.

Visited Paso Robles in mid-October with my partner and had an excellent experience with The Wine Line! About 2 weeks before our scheduled tour date I was contacted by Jason and he asked us if there were any specific wineries we wanted to visit and what types of wine we enjoyed. Since we had never been to the area, I told him we'd leave it up to him to pick for us. We were very happy with all of the places we visited-- especially Croad-- that was our favorite. We also ordered/bought the boxed lunches that The Wine Line offered and the quality was excellent. We couldn't eat it all and the leftovers ended up being dinner that night. Because of COVID, and it being a Monday, we ended up having the bus all to ourselves for the whole day, which worked out well for us. Bruce was our driver and he was great! Very engaging and a wealth of information. He was also very easy to get in touch with when we were running a little late at one of the wineries. Overall, a two thumbs up experience.

Had a great time visiting four wineries. Our driver Kyle was a really nice guy as were the various people we met at each winery. We did the option that included lunch and tasting fees which I recommend. If you just prefer to do the transportation option it’s well worth it to be able to enjoy yourself at the wineries and let someone else do the driving.
