Torrey Ridge Winery

A Finger Lakes family winery tradition, they are in the heart of Amish country with Mennonite farms surrounding the Winery. They are located on the West side of New York's beautiful Seneca Lake.

Anthony Road Wine Company

Arrive at this charming pioneering property on 100 acres of the northwestern bank of Seneca Lake. Taste through the crafted portfolio of Anne & John Martini. With the help of friends and family, they planted the first grapes, all hybrid varieties, in 1973. An array of wine is produced – from dry to dessert – with a range of tastes designed to please connoisseurs and casual aficionados alike.

I am conflicted about this experience. The reservation process and booking was pretty simple, and we were happy to find out that they would pick us up from our hotel. We ended up having a private tour because we chose a random rainy Sunday to do the tour. Our driver was very, very kind. Unfortunately, the Crush tour company did not adequately prepare her for our tour. For our first stop at Heron Winery, she took us to the actual winery 30 minutes in the opposite direction of Lake Seneca. We got to the winery and realized that we were supposed to go to the Heron tasting room on Lake Seneca. We ended up losing an entire hour from the 5-hour tour driving back to Lake Seneca. The driver apologized profusely, and I don't blame her, I blame the parent company for not giving her the proper information. We weren't given any sort of refund or additional value to the tour even though we paid for a 5-hour tour and lost a full hour after driving to the wrong location. It was disappointing that the company did not try to make up for the lost hour.

My husband and I visited the Seneca Lake area and went on Crush Beer & Wine Tours. We did a combo package and got to visit a brewery, a distillery, and a winery. Shane, our tour guide, was fun and knowledgeable. Crush had everything set up for our arrival at each place. We had friendly staff at each place to help us with our beer, wine, and whiskey flights, and each destination was a great spot to view and explore. Couldn't have asked for a better day.
