What To Expect

General Sherman Tree

You will have the opportunity to marvel at the largest tree on the planet – the General Sherman Tree.

Moro Rock Trail

Option to climb to the viewpoint at Morro Rock and visit its stunning lookout point.

Tunnel Log

Pass underneath Tunnel Log, a tree so big you can either walk or drive under it. Additionally you’ll have the chance to gain another perspective of just how massive these trees are as you walk the length of Auto Log, a fallen Sequoia Tree.

Generals Highway

As we begin our journey from the park’s entrance to the Giant Forest, we will drive on the Generals Highway as it winds its way along the scenic Kaweah River. Gaining elevation, we will travel through a diverse and changing landscape from dramatic flowering, cream-colored yuccas in the lower foothills to the largest protected Blue Oak woodland in the world. As we witness the steepest watershed in the Continental United States, we will also see the majestic peaks of the Great Western Divide of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. These epic views are not to be missed!

Crescent Meadow Loop

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with stunning views of Crescent Meadow. Picnic location can vary depending on conditions.

Our family had a memorable tour with Paul. It was beyond words. A day we will never forget. The weather was not cooperating in the morning and Paul showed us a great tour of the area. Once the park opened we were able to see the General Sherman. The snow made the trip just amazing!!!

I highly recommend this tour, our family had a great time. We went on a day the weather wasn’t great, but that was a blessing because we practically had the park to ourselves! It snowed while we were in Giants Forest which was an awesome experience. Paul and Scott are extremely knowledgeable about the park, trees, and wildlife and were very entertaining and engaged everyone on the tour. I can honestly say this was one of the best tours I’ve ever done.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable with plenty of details shared. A fair amount of walking but the tour guide did an excellent job modifying it for all levels
