What To Expect

Resurrection Bay

Disembark your ship at Seward cruise terminal, then make your own way to Seward Small Boat Harbor; a courtesy shuttle service is available. Meet your expert wildlife guide, then hop aboard your cruise boat and take a seat either inside or on the open-air top deck. As your boat slips away from land, take in stunning views of snowcapped mountains, craggy cliffs and shocking blue glaciers, including mammoth Bear Glacier. Should you wish, there’s also an onboard bar where you can buy refreshments.

Fox Island

After an hour, come to a stop by Fox Island, a remote islet that boasts luscious rainforests, skipping stone beaches and secluded coves. Step ashore with your guide and, depending on the option selected, head inside a cozy lodge for a scrumptious lunch. As you eat, watch a fascinating presentation by a National Park Ranger. After lunch, round off your visit with an hour of free time at ‘skipping stone’ beach. Then head back to your boat for your return journey across Resurrection Bay.

Our cruise was memorable and the captain of the boat was very knowledgeable about the sights we were to experience. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Of course, it was helpful that the day was beautiful, sky was clear, and the temperature agreeable. If a person stood outside on the deck, a warm wrap was needed while underway. We had a nice lunch at Fox Island and the two women who served lunch were very experienced with large crowds, serving everyone without a long wait time. On the way back, we were lucky and saw two humpback whales; a mother and her calf. The mother breeched several times and both blew sprays of water and flipped their tails in the air often. What a sight. We saw a circus of puffins, a smack of jellyfish, and a raft of otters; other birds, seals, and an eagle. This day was a huge success!!

This is an excellent tour of the Kenai Fiords! We saw whales, sea lions, otters, puffins and Beautiful Glaciers. Also a bald eagle. Lunch on Fox Island was great also!

We had a really disappointing experience with this company. We were very much looking forward to our cruise and was driving down from Anchorage when I got a call saying the cruise wasn't going out any longer with no explanation and they would like to book us on another cruise (which was longer and not what we wanted to do) or a different day. Neither option worked for us, so we had a day with nothing to do. They did refund our money, but it was very disappointing when we worked a lot of our trip around the cruise. It wasn't a weather issue either as we later asked....still didn't get a straight answer, but maybe mechanical they said? So, I'm sure the other cruise was just going to be packed and not that fun with two boats full shoved onto one boat.
