SF Native Local Food Tour

Overview
The Original Tour covers the most popular neighborhoods of San Francisco to provide the best local introduction to the city. The tour starts in the heart of the financial district underneath the Transamerica Pyramid. After our group introduction in SF's smallest redwood park, we'll weave our way through the secret side of downtown to see parts of the city that even locals often miss! As we explore the historical Barbary Coast we share family stories of the Wild West during the Gold Rush years. After learning about these lawless times, we'll make our way into North Beach (our Little Italy) as we sample a plethora of snacks and introducing our groups to local community businesses. We'll end the tour in our most authentic historic neighborhood, Chinatown. In Chinatown we'll visit stores and marketplaces that sell unique items, both dead & alive(!), while trying delicious authentic dim sum. Finally, we'll finish up by visiting the fortune-cookie factory and the "living room" of Chinatown.

Stuart led a great walking tour through the financial district, North Beach, and Chinatown. The tour is unique because it incorporates some of Stuart’s family history. Many tour guides are not even from the city they are providing a tour of, but Stuart is a 5th generation local who spent many hours in the library researching the history of the neighborhoods. And of course, there are many food stops on the tour. I recommend you don’t try to eat everything at every stop because there is A LOT of food and it’s all included in the price of the tour.

This food tour was absolutely the best tour ever! Stuart’s passion for history and knowledge of SF made this tour so much fun! I am impressed by Stuart’s attention to detail; he had masks, hand sanitizer, and even cough drops on hand! The charcuterie board, the cookies (Italian and Chinese), the pizza, the dim sum, and so much more was just amazing! Thank you Stuart for celebrating my daughter’s 30th with us! This tour was so much fun. If you’re thinking of a walking tour of SF, this is the one.

You don’t want to miss this tour! Stuart is a local and knows SF inside and out. His tour is so engaging! I feel like I know SF so much better and I know some really yummy local places to eat. The food on the tour was absolutely amazing. Stuart was well-equipped with masks, hand sanitizer, and even cough drops. We met him as a tour guide but left as friends! Highly recommend this tour with Stuart!!!
