Having this tour downloaded made the trip much more enjoyable. Definitely worth the $10. It advised where to stop, some of which would have been easy to miss without the guide. The narrator was entertaining with interesting facts and history. There was mixed info about if the Ohe'o pools were open, we got an email notifying us the Ohe'o pools were closed and there is a $25 entry fee... Unfortunately we didn't get that email until after we finished the drive, since we paid for the tour at the start and didn't check email while driving. I'd seen in a Maui magazine they were closed, but also see now that they may have reopened in December. Given that part of the road is the narrowest of our drive (we did not do the full loop south), it would have been helpful to have accurate info on fees and closures before we drove there. I'd suggest they put an alert in the app about fees and closures.

Mahalo for your review and feedback. I apologize for any confusion and inconvenience you may have had with your tour. We try as much as possible to get updated and accurate information on the tours however fees and road closures can vary day by day. We sincerely appreciate your feedback - this is very helpful for us as we continue improving the Shaka Guide app.

The audio is corny but it made us laugh! The tour made the whole experience so much easier and more fun. My only real negative is that we heard about some things on the road back tour that we would have liked to do if we had heard about it on the way there. We were too tired on the way back. That isn’t really the tour’s fault though.
