Overview

Hop on a cruise to Shell Key Island and see dolphins and other wildlife while snorkeling. At this pristine wildlife preserve, you'll get to snorkel and observe the wildlife, go for a relaxing swim, or just walk along the beach and collect shells. Depending on the time of year, you'll see dolphins in their natural habitat, along with manatees, rays, and wild birds.

All of our rides are semi-private, with a maximum of 6 passengers per boat, so you get to avoid the crowds when you ride with us.

Took a late afternoon tour, it was an awesome experience for my kids (6,8) and our parents traveling with us. The kids found lots of sand dollars in the water around shell key and saw quite a few dolphins. It was nice to be able to follow the dolphins on a whim with a very flexible boat captain. Location was excellent and so much better than fighting traffic into Clearwater. Thank you we all loved the experience.

It was a beautiful experience. Didn't see any dolphins, but did see 2 manatees and the shell key island was gorgeous to explore and snorkel. Loved the small size of the ferry. Made it fun!

My family and I booked the 9 AM boat ride at the end of April and it far surpassed our hopes! Before we even left the marina, there was a pod of dolphins hunting right beside our boat. Our little ones were thrilled to be so close. After about five minutes of following them through the marina to the gulf, Captain Dalton was able to create a wake from our boat and see if they would follow, which they did for about ten minutes. They jumped and played in the wake until another pod joined up making six dolphins—what a treat! Dalton shared all of his lifelong dolphin knowledge with us and many details about the area and the shell island we were able to snorkel. We found many sand dollars and beautiful shells, including a huge lightning whelk—what a day. If you’re debating whether it’s worth the sacrifice of some beach time to book this trip, don’t even hesitate. Thanks Captain Dalton for some of our favorite memories from our trip—we’ll be back!
