Shared 2 Hours Group Surf Lesson at Venice Beach

Overview

We are a FUN SURF LA surf school based on Venice Beach. Our goal is for you to have an excellent experience surfing, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. For the first 30-40 minutes we will be training on the beach - then it’s one hour with the instructors in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun with the surfboards that we provide you.

We’ll be giving lessons on Venice Beach - one of the most famous beaches in California. You’ll be able to not only enjoy the ocean and get surfing experience, but also explore the unique spirit of the eccentric cultural hub of Venice Beach.

Great family outing. First time surfing was a lot of fun for all!!! Good value!!! We all wanted to try surfing. The group lessons were super convenient (right at Venice Beach) and reasonably priced. We chose the two hour option and it did not disappoint.

As a first time surfer, I had low expectations for my surfing experience, but our instructors for the class gave us a crash-course of the basics and then brought us to the water where we could try, try again... and where they could give us one on one instructions and help. They are then in the water with the small group providing encouragement as well as balance help and a push where you need it, and thanks to them I managed to stand up during my first surfing experience. It was great for me as a beginner, but the on-land lesson was short and the gear they provided was good, so I'm sure all levels of surfers could enjoy this!

Taken two lessons with this group now and can recommend them as good instructor for beginner surfers! They did a great demo and safety discussion out of the water, and then gave excellent feedback while in the water. The first time I went there was a larger group and they made sure to have 2 extra instructors on hand, which I thought was great.
