Shared 2 Hours Group Surf Lesson at Venice Beach

Overview

We are a FUN SURF LA surf school based on Venice Beach. Our goal is for you to have an excellent experience surfing, whether it's your first time trying surfing or you are trying to advance your skills. For the first 30-40 minutes we will be training on the beach - then it’s one hour with the instructors in the ocean. The remaining time is yours to practice your skills and have fun with the surfboards that we provide you.

We’ll be giving lessons on Venice Beach - one of the most famous beaches in California. You’ll be able to not only enjoy the ocean and get surfing experience, but also explore the unique spirit of the eccentric cultural hub of Venice Beach.

We didn’t have any experience in advance, but had a great time with this surf lesson. Good introduction and enough time in the water. Even though the group was big, everyone got individual guidance from very skilled instructors.

This was my second surf lesson and it was soooo good! The instructors were extremely helpful both on land and in the water. Every time anyone from the group needed help - the coaches were there to help us. The conditions were perfect for beginners and I managed to catch a few waves. I’m now definitely hooked!! Also I was afraid that it’s going to be cold - don’t worry about it, they provide wetsuits that keep you warm and comfortable.

Our instructor knew what he was talking about and had great energy, but given the location of the lesson and time of day there was barely any white wash/super low tide which made it difficult to learn properly. Overall, was really fun though.
