So I made a reservation for my husbands birthday over a week before. It sounded great….until I got a phone call TWO hours before the reservation saying they had to cancel due to over booking issues. And they couldn’t take us till 4-5 days later. When I explained it was his birthday and to see if there was anything else we can do. I was told “that sucks” she was rude about it. And didn’t even care about it. And issued me a refund. Broke my heart. We booked for the 5 pm. So it was already too late to make new plans.

I originally booked a 2:30 departure time, but was caught up in traffic. Oceanside adventures was really accommodating given our situation with traffic, and reschedule this for the 5:00 departure. From that point, the whole excursion was first class. The Captain's on board where knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. My date and I enjoyed it immensely, and we saw about 1,000 dolphins. The only reason they get four stars instead of five is because we saw no whales. But that's not OA's fault. I look forward to the next excursion.

We saw hundreds of dolphins! Saw Sea Lions too! They swam under the front of the boat! They were racing us and squeaking! Capt.Chris was amazing! He was so incredibly knowledgeable about every creature we encountered, even those we didn’t! No whales this trip but I will be back. I would recommend to buy your tickets online, show up 30 mins early, and get the bench at the very front of the boat. Beer/soda/snacks available to purchase. Bathroom onboard. Family friendly.
