This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. What To Expect

Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours

After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.

Key West

Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

We booked this tour while on a cruise stop. The captain was very entertaining and his son who did the feeding was also very personable. Watching the sharks feeding was interesting. The boat was not crowded so could see well.

We had a great tour with my wife and 2 children. Capt Ken and his son Clay were very knowledgeable and fun guides who made the trip spectacular. We headed out on the Key West harbor and about only 15 minutes after we left the dock we saw about 12 dolphins. Capt Ken got us close for a great view and we even had them right by the boat. It was great. Then we headed to Key West protected waters way offshore. When we arrived we saw a very large sea turtle. He popped his head up for a second then dropped back down. Then clay grabbed a large fish for bait and then we saw about 10 to 12 lemon sharks. One of the sharks name was bruiser, that Clay fed for 2 years and nursed him back to health. I have never seen so many sharks we got some great slow motion vids of them chomping at the bait. They did a few feeding to give everyone a front row seat. My son was able to throw the last bit of the tail leftover to the sharks. This really made his day. On the way back we saw the same group of dolphins and we cruised around the harbor. My family has been to Key West many times and been on many tours. This was by far the best experience and tour we have done. It was fun for the whole family. Captain Ken and Captain Clay were very nice and extremely competent. We saw a lot of dolphin and even more sharks. The crew made sure that everyone got a photo opportunity. They are located behind the Margaritaville resort where the cruise ships dock.
